"To live content with small means... to seek elegance rather than luxury... to think quietly... talk gently... hurry never..."
From "My Symphony" by W. H. Channing
This handsome "Silent Swan" is a picture of contentment, elegance, and quiet gentleness. In this lesson we'll produce a symphony of layered brushstrokes, values, and hues to create this beautiful piece of art to call your own. (Please note that we use watercolor masking fluid with this project. Instructions are provided in the preparation notes.) My friend Joanie Hibbard provided the inspiration photo for this delightful painting and has permitted me to share it with my students. Thank you, Joanie!
